Within the framework of SwitchMED Project, A on-the-job training plan was prepared and delivered. The training addressed companies’ staff TEST team, that was established at each of the 10 Companies, and local professionals from local experts and stakeholders, in addition to the inspectors working at MoE and EQA, and representatives from Bank of Palestine to be informed on the demonstration companies’ activities. The training was based on the TEST guidelines kit material approved by the UNIDO, which consist of three theoretical cumulative sessions for a total of 2 + 2 + 1 days interspersed with on-the job industrial audits activities.
Based on the training Master Plan that had been prepared by PALAST and approved by UNIDO TEST team, the 1st TEST Training workshop for Palestinian Companies was held on 15 & 16 March 2016 in presence of UNIDO Advisors team, namely Vladimir Dobes and Roberta De Palma, at Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) main building-Al-Bireh-Palestine.. The 10 selected demo-companies, as well as those of the local professionals from local experts and stakeholders, in addition to the inspectors working at MoE and EQA, and representatives from Bank of Palestine to be informed on the demonstration companies activities. had been invited to attend the training workshop.
A second 2 days training for the 2nd TEST Training workshop for Palestinian Companies had been held on 31th January– 01st February 2017 at Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) main building-Al-Bireh, The objective of this training were to briefly overview the project status and to explain for participants on further or remaining MED TEST II implementation steps. The workshop had focused on MFCA results, focus area, option generation, economic, technical and environmental evaluation of options, action plan and information system.
The third consultation workshop for the demonstration Companies was held on 23 May 2017 at PRCS building, each company presented and discussed the results and the experience gained, and highlighted on the investment needing measures and their implementation, after that a discussions for opportunities, barriers and way of their overcoming were opened, and the next steps for each company.
The fourth training workshop for the demonstration Companies was held on 19 October 2017, each Company identified NPO's, Priority Flows, Focus Areas, Sources and Causes of Losses (for selected focus areas), the implementation of recommended option generations from International Experts, also focused on investments need measures to start with preparing feasibility studies and action Plan for each investment.
