Palestine Academy for Science & Technology has participated in the” Science Faculties ... Reality & challenges” workshop. which was organized by the Faculty of Science at An Najah University with the cooperation of relevant institutions, particularly, the Faculties of Sciences at Palestinian universities.
The purpose of holding this workshop was due to the low demand of the registration in major Specialties in Science Faculties. Whereas this workshop aims to address decision-makers at the governmental level and the general sectors, and all parties involved; also, to propose solutions that benefit all Palestinian universities and Colleges of Science graduates.
The workshop has highlighted the importance of connecting Science to applied fields and entrepreneurship. In addition, the necessity of updating undergraduate programs.
As well as, Interventions included important speeches from the participants, deans, and representatives of the faculty of Science from several Palestinian universities, members of the teaching, administrative staff, and students from different departments of the Faculty of Science.
The workshop also included several working papers that is being discussed by experts and talking heads. Besides, at the end of the workshop, the participating deans of the faculties of Science have formed a committee to follow up the issue, in addition, to giving recommendations and providing them for decision-maker to take appropriate action.
