Dr. Irene Hazou is an associate professor of Mathematics at Bethlehem University. Dr Hazou holds Masters (1980) and doctoral (1986) degrees in mathematics from Oregon State University. She joined the Department of Mathematics at Bethlehem University in 1986 as lecturer and later as Chairperson of the Department. In 2001, she was appointed the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, a position she held until 2012. In September 2012, she became the Vice President for Academic Affairs a position she continues to hold. In this position, Dr Hazou serves as the chief academic officer of the university and is responsible for the coordination and quality of the university’s academic and research programs.
