Dr. Mutamed Khatib
Mutamed Khatib received B.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan in 1996 and M.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Jordan University for Science & Technology, Irbid, Jordan in 2003. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Wireless and Mobile systems from University Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia in 2009. His research Interests are in the field of mobile networks and coding such as: Broadband Access Network and Services, Adaptive Signal Processing for Wireless Communications and Cellular Networks.
From 1996 to 2005, he worked as Transmission, Outside Broadcasting & Studio Engineer in Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC). Since 2005, he worked as an instructor in the Engineering Faculty at Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie), Tulkarm – Palestine. He was the head of telecommunication department at the same university for two years, the dean of faculty of engineering and technology for four years, and the vice president for academic affairs for one year, in where he is teaching advanced courses in telecommunications and coding as an Associate Professor. Nowadays, he is the mobility and exchange coordinator at PTUK.
Dr. Khatib has a number of publications to his credit in various international journals and conference proceedings. He is the editor of a book titled “Advanced Trends in Wireless Communications” and “Contemporary Issues in Wireless Communications” published by INTECH Open Access Publisher from Croatia in 2011 and 2014 respectively, and he is the author of two scientific books and two book chapters. Dr. Khatib is an editor and reviewer for many international journals in his field, and Palestinian Engineers Association.
