Prof. Salama was born in 1963 in Jenin-Palestine, he got his BSc. and Master degree in plant production from Jordan University and his PhD in range science from New Mexico State University in 1993. Currently he is the Dean of Graduate Studies and Academic Research at Hebron University-Palestine. During his work he taught several courses for undergraduate and graduate students in plant production and in range science, and he conducted many research including rangeland improvement and development, natural plant biodiversity, water harvesting, nutritional value of rangeland plants, watershed management, rangeland management, and conservation of wild plant genes in Palestine. Salama have many published paper in local and international scientific journal and attended many local and international conferences. Currently he is interested in researches related to soil and water conservation through applying different water harvesting techniques to improve the productivity of rangeland vegetation, fruit trees and rain fed agriculture.
