Dr. Wafaa Khater

Dr. Wafaa Khater is a faculty member at the physics department in Birzeit University, Palestine. She chaired the physics department and directed the master program for three years between 2013 and 2016. She is also a regular associate at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Italy. 
She completed her Master and PhD in the Institute of Physics and Technology, Bergen University, Norway under the supervision of Prof. Per Osland. Her research interests are in the field of High-Energy Particle Physics, Phenomenology of Models beyond the Standard Model, CP violation and Higgs Physics. She is also a member in several organizations that focus on the role of Women in physics and science such as the “OWSD: Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World”.
