The Palestine Academy for Science and Technology, a national, independent, self-governing institution, acts as a catalyst for the advancement of science, technology, and innovation in Palestine, and for their effective deployment as levers for economic, social, and human development. The Academy works in sync with all partners from academia, government, and businesses at home and abroad to achieve this purpose.

One of the goals of the Academy is to stimulate any scientific efforts to advance science, technology, and innovation in Palestine. In accordance with its efforts to empower the Palestinian youth and to support new generations, the Academy will embrace the Nova Society for Astronomy and Space Science under its umbrella, and will provide the needed space for them within the Academy’s building in order to hold activities and resume manufacturing telescopes locally.

The Nova Society will be working under the umbrella of the physics society in particular and the scientific societies in general, in accordance with the Academy’s vision to enhance the process of communication and the creation of interrelations between different institutions. Moreover, the Academy aims to strengthen the infrastructure for astronomy in Palestine, and to provide the needed scientific reference body in this field.

The Nova Society for Astronomy and Space Science contributes to spreading scientific and astronomical knowledge among school- and university students and all those interested in astronomy through its educational and observational activities, which is a matter of great importance for their role in developing and enriching the educational process and opening the way to new sciences that our Palestinian society lacks.
