ICT experts at the Academy met JICA representative toward promoting digitalization technology for the tourism sector

The meeting of Palestine Academy with the representatives of the Communications and Informatics Society, OWSD Palestine National Chapter, and the scientific research community in Palestine The Researchist, with the representatives of the Japanese mission that visited Palestine. Hatsuko Kouroku, Chief Consultant at the World Business Associates Co., Ltd. & the advisor of the Japan Internatioal Cooperation Agency JICA Foundation, has the purpose of exploring possible promotion tools in the Tourism Sector in Palestine. Experts from Palestinian Universities in the field of ICT shared their experiences and activities in the field of digitalization, especially in the tourism sector, and the means and applications used to promote tourism.

The Japanese mission aims to build a tourism platform besides providing a tourist database, besides, the importance of training tourist guides through the synergy of efforts with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities  and experts at Palestinian universities and the private sector to contribute to the promotion of digitalization technology for the tourism sector.

As an independent national institution, the Palestine Academy for Science and Technology acts as a catalyst for the advancement of science, technology, and innovation in Palestine, in addition, PALAST can coordinate and facilitate any efforts through the experts of the scientific Societies in any Palestinian sector among the relevant stakeholders.
