In cooperation with the Palestine Academy of Science and Technology and the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence, the Ministry of Education hosted Dr. Lamya Amleh, Professor of civil engineering at the University of Calgary in Canada, in the ninth episode of the "Explore Science" program in its second season virtually.
In her lecture, which attracted the audience's attention, she has discussed different examples, and explanations, in an attempt to address those questions, “what Engineering is? Who is the engineer? What do engineers do? What is the difference between engineering and science?”, in a simple way that impressed the audience. Also, highlighted the role of the engineers in proposing solutions for problems which faces us. As well, employ modern designs, especially in building bridges, and connect them with science and its importance in daily life.
It was moderated by Sab’a Abu Hussain and Mohammad Jayousi from the Directorate of Education – Tulkarem. Also, the Exploring Science Program hosted Dr. Ahmad Issa Professor of mechatronics engineering at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, as an expert on the seminar's topic, which lasted for more than two hours of dialogue and discussion between the guest and the guest participants.
